I have to post a big CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Brandon. Last year I wanted him out, thought he was done, but he did a heckuva job. Obviously the team and assistant coaches deserve great credit too, but I had written of the Coach and he did a great job getting this team to 8-4 with a bowl.

Of course expectation will be big for '08, but he has until January 8th to prep for the bowl and take a day or two to enjoy his accomplishments from '07. Thanks Coach for a great year!

Yes, I think 8-4 was at the upper end of reasonable expectations in anybody's book this year. The program went out in November and brought the bacon home. Hats off to Coach B for pulling it together and getting it done when it mattered.

Come on Brandon-Bashers...give him his due. Predicted almost last this year with hardly any starting seniors, Partridge, Sanderson, and Haneline out for a lot of the year...the list goes on.

As a fan that supported Coach B thru it all, I can't tell ya how happy I am for the man. He took a lot of heat and did a great job this year...the Miami game was crap...and Ohio? We could have beaten them but we made too many mistakes.

But they way Coach rallied the team down the stretch to win 4 in a row...including a 27 pt ass whoopin' of UT...and got a bowl bid? Excellent work.

To finish 9-4 would be a hell of a way to go into what I expect to be a MAC title year in 2008.

A year ago, it didn't look good...

BTW, are we still in serious decline as a program? :-D

RIP TULSA

I've been somewhat critical over the past couple of years...

I give him his due, I didn't think it was at all likely we'd be going to a bowl. Not only that, there has been good player development over the span of this season.

There's little question he's done enough for an extension, I've gone on record as saying a three year extension is appropriate.
