Since I doubt many of us know very much about each others team, how about you guys give me a rundown on what we might expect.
Here is my observation of our football program (note: my opinion may differ from other Tulsa fans, like I said this is just my observation):
Offense -
Paul Smith will make plays if given enough time, even when flushed out of the pocket. It seems he makes most if his mistakes when forced to throw while still in the pocket.
Brennan Marion has been an amazing deep threat. This guy makes defenses have to put a safety in deep zone coverage, and this really opens up middle area of the field for our other leading receivers to get open. If he is one-on-one with your dback Paul will put the ball in the air in his direction nearly everytime.
Jamad Williams/Tarrion Adams, these two will make up 95% of all our carries, with Charles Clay picking up about 4% of the remaining. neither has had any record breaking ground games, however they will get enough carries to even out the passing attack. I look for Tarrion adams to get the most carries out of the Bowl game due to his experience, but he does have a tendency to put the ball on the ground after big runs.
Offensive line, This is our weakest part of the offense, very inexperienced, but I believe they have done enough for what is asked of them. They should be expected to be better next year, especially with a new quarterback.
Defense -
Strongest part of our defense is the Linebacker corpse, they are the being relied on way to much this season. We have given up alot of points this year, but seem to be able to tighten it up in the redzone.
d-back/d-line, they need alot of work. there is no way we would be in a bowl game this year without our explosive offense. you guys are going to score, that is a given fact.
Special teams -
F - that is about all that needs to be said. everything from missed extra points to letting the opponent start at the 50 yard line after just about every kickoff. Paul Smith (quarterback) is usually used for punting when close to the 50.
My Prediction O/U = 75
