I never understood why the MAC invited UCF into the conference. Aside from the fact that they stink, having a team in Florida when the rest of the conference is in the midwest is simply geographical nonsense but then again "geographical nonsense" hasn't stopped C-USA

Golden Knights coach Mike Kruczek was quoted as saying, "I think we can be undefeated. I know we can do it in the MAC conference ... Our major concern is our out-of-conference opponents."

Athletic director Steve Orsini said that while the MAC is nice the school fully intends to be in a "major" conference within five years.

Former coach Mike Kruczek was crowing about how his program was going to dominate the MAC.

Gee, I wonder why we're not hearing anything from them now? Could it be that they were too busy shoving their own heads up their ass to realize that they were about to become the nations worst team?

1 word....EXPOSURE. The Sunshine Network broadcasts almost all the UCF games. The MAC received exposure in Florida. That's it, IMO.

Two other things:

1. They weren't that bad when they joined up. They've morphed into the worst team in the nation... but they did got 6-2 their first year.

2. We needed a 14th to make scheduling easier.
