Broadcast Question

Anyone knows who the broadcast team will be for this game? It's all good as long as it's not that dame. I have two daughters and they can be President of the United States, even football players, but I don't want women broadcasting football. It may be my only bias, but it's the way I feel.

Ouch, no love for Pam Ward in here. I don't mind her at all, I think she does a pretty good job. Her most recent game was the DIII Championship, so she should surface on at least a couple bowl games over the next two weeks.

She is really bad. But there a lot of males out there that are worse. Those idiots who did the BG-Minn game have to rank right up there on my list of worst college football announcers. The worst I've ever heard though was the Purdue-Hawaii game last year. Bizarre is probably the only word that does justice to how they called the game.

+1 (or is it -1) on the BG-Minn game....though I must say I feel that may be more indicative of how terrible the Big10/11 Network is in general.

At least Ward does her homework. Mark Jones is bad. He did the 2003 MCB and had us again (along with Davie and Rowe) for the 2004 GMAC and still didn't get names correct and just didn't seem to have a feeling for our team. I also would take Ward over Gus Johnson. Johnson would call a staring contest like every twitch was a last second buzzer beater.

Then again, the offense the GMAC matchup promises might just ruin his vocal chords forever. I'm willing to make the sacrifice.

Dude makes Tom Hamilton seem monotone.

I can live with Mark May and Rece Davis doing our game. But, for the love of college football, please leave Lou Holtz back in the ESPN studio. I have respect for Lou, but I just cannot stand to listen to this man speak for more than 2 sentences at a time.

haha ya i used to hate to listen to lou too, but ever since they've been doing his pregame and half time speeches ive grown quite fond of him. his speeches are amazing!! so i guess i can deal with him, esp when he's going to be going toe-to-toe with mark may all game about how the little guys can play football also. as we all know, mark may doesnt believe football is played outside the bcs conferences.

Mark May...Swell...I can just hear him now... "Welcome to Mobile, Alabama for this offensive showdown between the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes and the Bowling Green Falcons...Tulsa and Bowling Green? What the...Are you kidding me? TULSA AND FRICKIN' BG? I used to play for fu**ing Pittsburgh and for the mother fu**ing two-time Super Bowl winner Redskins as a Hog! And now I'm calling a mother fu**ing MID-MAJOR Bowl game?!?!?! Get my my goddamn agent!"

I like Ward. She is well-prepared and, unlike many others on ESPN and elsewhere, she gives the play-by-play without screaming, screwing up players' names, screwing up down and distance, etc.

Nice! I'm glad Holtz will be doing the game. We have a two-game bowl win streak when an ex-Notre Dame coach is doing the color!

Pam Ward is awful, but I'm not against women doing football games.

That being said, I'm glad I'll be in the stands for this one!

This thread is need of a Homer J. Simpson quote to lighten the mood... When a woman says nothing is wrong, it means everything is wrong. When a woman says everything is wrong, it means everything is wrong. And when a woman says that something ISN’T funny, you’d better not laugh your ass off!
