Tulsa was clearly more motivated and I believe better prepared. The execution was nearly perfect and our defense actually showed up. I would like your opinion if we stepped it up or if you guys dropped the ball - or both?
On the positive side for you guys is that most of the team was young but managed to stay composed. Many teams start getting personal fouls for stupid crap when the game gets ugly. I don't think I saw too many heads down. I know I'm grasping at straws, but things simply did not go well for you tonight.
I hope things stay on track next year and you claw your way back to the top. certainly the BG fans have impressed me as some of the most rational people on the internet (I know, not really saying much
). I've enjoyed our banter and your points about the quality of the GMAC Bowl were well founded - a very well publicized, organized, and executed event but all accounts. Though I'm sure you are (understandably) pissed, I hope you remember that a post season birth is a treat and being able to complain about a bad bowl performance is something that half of division I teams wished they could do this year.
