Looks like BG's series with Boise State could be a 3-for-1

According to the Idaho Statesman, if Boise State's future schedule holds true as listed below and as mentioned in the link to the article below, BG's series with Boise State could end up being a 3-for-1 (in favor of Boise) when all is said and done. We've already played at Boise in 2005, and this states we will also play at Boise in 2008 and 2012 while hosting the Broncos in 2011. Now while I don't mind getting a series with Boise State, I do not like the idea of playing them in a 3-for-1 scenario. While the WAC has been a better conference than the MAC, I'm sorry, we shouldn't be playing a 3-for-1 against any WAC school, or pretty much any other school for that matter. Also according to this article, Miami-Ohio has a home-and-home with Boise State. I'm not sure why we have what appears to be a 3-for-1 when all is said and done while Miami-Ohio has a 1-for-1. I just found all of this curious.

FUTURE BOISE STATE OUT OF CONFERENCE OPPONENTS:
2008: vs. Idaho State, at Oregon, vs. Bowling Green, at Southern Miss

2010: vs. Oregon State, vs. Toledo, at Miami (Ohio), at Wyoming
2011: vs. Utah, vs. Wyoming, at Bowling Green
2012: at Utah, vs. Bowling Green, at Oregon State, vs. BYU
2013: vs. Utah, at BYU
2014: vs. BYU

Yeah, that sux we have to go there THREE times to get ONE home game. Hell, we don't do 3 for 1's with BCS teams.

I keep hearing that the MAC is responsible for this 3 for 1. My question is, how will the MAC come and help us? Im hoping they can bring us a 3 for 1 the other way with a decent mid-major, but Im not betting my last dollar on that anytime soon.

This isn't a three for one...we talked about this before...a lot. It's a 3 for 3. We gave up two of our three games to help the MAC out of a scheduling jam.

But we did get to play Temple at home instead.

So if I read this right... there's going to be a threesome in Boise?
I'm so there.

We need to cancel/buyout our 2008 game and schedule a home game to replace it. Do a 1AA team for all I care, just get 6 home games. No more of this 3-for-1 bullshit.

This bears repeating. I guess only the old senile guys remember the scheduling flap from last spring.

You kids get off my lawn...and if that football winds up in my yard one more time, I'm keeping it.

Ever been to Boise? The other two parties are a bison and a mountain goat. Have fun.

Usually you have to pay double for that kind of action, Cotton.

Actually, it might be fun for the players to go to Boise. Not sure how good of a trip it actually was for those who went, but it seems to me like it would be a cool novelty to say you played on the Smurf Turf!
