Haven't seen it posted here but this was in the Blade and Sentinel yesterday. Stover has been given some kind of academic leave of absence. This is a Brandon imposed thing to give Stover a chance to get his school work in order. Macon is still bothered by the hamstring injury so Van Johnson  has been practicing at running back.

Good to hear. Let him get his academics in order. I really like Raishaun, I hope he can get things together and become a key player in the future. He's got loads of talent.

I hope this does not discourage Stover, and make him think of leaving BG, because I really like his style of play and think he can/will contribute in the future. It's great to be focused on our great season of 2004 but I hope the staff, the u or whoever is keeping an eye on this kid so he will stay with the program.

Stover & Macon

This is interesting news. With how fast we brought the subs in against western I wondered why we never saw Stover nor Macon. This answers that question though. I've always been a huge fan of Stover, I hope he can contribute in the years to come. He's the same class as P.J. & B.J. right?

Raishaun has been in sweats for the past few home games. We were wondering who it was on saturday, then his coat came open and I noted a #34 jersey.

This is good for Stover, and in the long run should be good for the program as well. We're going to want him around in a couple years, I hope he sticks through it he is full of talent. If he keeps his head & academics straight he could easily be a 1000+ rusher here his senior year.

Pope, Lane, and Stover are all in the same class, but I believe Stover was the only one of the three to redshirt. He has one more year where he could and should be the feature back. I sure hope he sticks it out.

hammb: right on.

Stover, athletically, may well be the best of the three. Let's hope he takes advantage of this opportunity and gets his grades in order.

As for depth at RB, we should be fine with Pope & Lane for now. Would be nice to get Macon back for a bit of depth by the Toledo game.
