I don't know about anyone else, but I dig Ryan's coverage of BG athletics and think he does a good job.
Hearing that CP may play both ways next year is exciting....
Love the comments about Reggie Witherspoon...what a dolt. After the buzzer incident last year and now this? Anytime the Bulls come to AA, Reggie should hear it from the whole place. What a choad.
Roll Along...

Ryan has really grown into his position, and his blogs are a great read to get that little bit of extra information...

I had a solid half hour discussion with Ryan where we got to talk about a multitude of sports topics.
The dude knows his stuff.

Does he know hockey? I'd love to see him cover some hockey games! He's doing a great job with the football and basketball!

Yep..Ryan's doing a really good job. Maureen brought good luck to the women' bball team, but it's pretty clear that she was serious jinx on the men's programs.

FTR I had Ryan's job before he had it. Not his current job but a similar one. And he did and does a much better job then I ever did. He is from my hometown and I have known him for awhile although he is quite a bit younger so we are somewhere between acquintances and friends. He does an absolutely fantastic job and is a really good guy too. I hope he sticks around the area for a long time. BG Grad to boot.

I like Ryan’s work a lot too. First off, I enjoy his articles. But his blogs are great too - very informative, pretty detailed, and sometimes even a little humorous. The blogs are nice because they give you a little more behind the scenes info and a little more insight than the articles. I check for them daily. Keep up the good work Ryan.

I think the best thing about the blogs is they answer the exact questions we want answered. His humor is also great, imo because it is everyman and not always pc but never crosses the line, which is hard for writers to do imo. His judgment is beyond his years.

I don't think the Blade really puts an emphasis on covering hockey outside of the (defunct) Storm.

I totally agree! I think Ryan is an excellent writer, clearly the ultra best since Matt Markey covered BG sports. Both writers appear to have an indepth knowledge of the sports that they cover, and both caught the real spirt/flavor of the Bowling Green sport's scene. And I too hope Ryan hangs around for a long time.
