Gardner Howard - New Head Coach at Toledo Scott

Howard played on scholarship at Bowling Green State University, where he was a three-year defensive starter for the Falcons (1995-97), working at tackle, end and linebacker.

In non-related, BG-related news, I saw that Dennis Springer was named RB coach at Indiana, which shall now be referred to as "Bowling Green South".

I was just on Indiana's site reading about their scandal and saw this about Springer, too! That's great for him...he was one of my favorite coaches at BG and was one of the friendliest guys I've ever known.

"G" lived across the hall from me back in 1995-1996. He is one big boy and I doubt any of the kids will give him much trouble, lol.
