2008 Schedule to be out soon
2008 Schedule to be out soon
In today's ask the AD, Greg stated that the '08 schedule should be out "within in a week or so". That's exciting if true. He also stated that all four non-conference games that have been out there are happening.

Wow. That's pretty impressive, and must mean that the MAC has finally gotten its act together. Normally don't we wait until early April to get even just an OOC schedule?

I don't think it matters where we played them, just when.1987alum wrote:Recent trips to the Doyt:Warthog wrote:On a serious note, who is our other crossover game this year? NIU, Ball St or Western?
Western: 2004
Ball State: 2004
Northern: 2003
My shiny nickel says NIU or CMU.
2007 - Eastern
2006 - Central
2005 - Ball St
2004 - Western
I guess by my logic, we are due for Northern Illinois.

Well, if this was the schedule, Buffalo would be the homecoming game, which is good because otherwise wouldn't draw worth a s**t that week because of lack of quality opponent. Even if they happen to be good, they are still Buffalo, so it'd be great for homecoming to be them. Kent State would be family/parent weekend in this example. Hopefully they don't 38-3 our azz again in accordance with the family weekend jinx.Warthog wrote:Just for fun, here is my proposed schedule:

That's some hard talk considering Buffalo almost beat us last time they came, we escaped in OT. It's nice to have a homecoming game you're favored in I agree, but Buffalo is hardly the lock they used to be. They had the lead on us much of the first half this year before our offense warmed up and pulled away. On an unrelated note, their fans are d-bags.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Well, if this was the schedule, Buffalo would be the homecoming game, which is good because otherwise wouldn't draw worth a s**t that week because of lack of quality opponent. And, as has been pointed out here ad nauseum, opponent dosen't matter when it comes to attendance, homecoming or not. Again the comprehensive list effecting attendance is:
1. Is BG winning?
2. Is Ohio State playing?
3. Is the weather good?
Crappy reasons, but that's about it.
Homecoming beats out the first two every year, but in '04 the weather was terrible and no one showed up.NY-BG-FAN wrote:That's some hard talk considering Buffalo almost beat us last time they came, we escaped in OT.
