WHY I HATE MIAMI...Reason #76

Post by H2Ofalcon77 »

Quote from Terry Hoeppner:

"I feel like we've been rewarded for our efforts....It's a long season. We've kept the faith, worked hard, and given ourselves a chance to play in the MAC Championship Game"

Are we getting ahead of ourselves a little....first it is Akron and BG that gave Miami their chance - and second they aren't in the MAC Championship game yet. Looks like they don't consider Akron to be a valid opponent.

You are taking the quote out of context, as it refers to staying the course and not giving up after losing to Marshall and anything can happen. If you continue to win, only good things can happen.

BG has to be the most feared team in the conference at this point, and I dont think anyone can beat them at this point as you guys could put up 70 points at any one time. I think it would be great to see BG play Boise, granted I know alot of people couldnt travel out that far, but hey the scoreboard may not be big enough for either team!

I may just fly out there for that one....Wisconsin would be nice but I'd rather fly to Boise for what is sure to be the best non BCS game of the year in 2005. Plus, I wanna see the Smurf Turf in person.

Redskins4ever is correct. You are taking this quote out of context. As the Dayton Daily News stated prior to that quote -

" Bowling Green provided MU with the help it needed Saturday, pounding Marshal 56-35 and knocking the Thunderng Herd out of Contention in the race for the East Crown."

The whole gist of the DDN article was that Miami is grateful to have turned their season around after the loss to Marshall and they know they have a chance to return to the MACC and it is back in their hands, thanks to BG.

Miami and their fans are very aware of what BG did this weekend to help them make their final game with Akron esstentially the East Division Championship Game.

I cannot support your desire to see Akron beat Miami, as I can not support the idea that I want NIU to beat EMU this weekend. GO EASTERN!

Both Miami and BG let the fate of their season slip through their own hands by losing to Marshall and NIU. Both have had to rely on others to assist them to the MACC. So far Toledo has helped us(yuck - I can't believe I just felt a tinge of graditute to TU) And I am one Falcon/Redskin hoping for EMU to do us the favor. Then the BG - Toledo game will be the West Division Championship Game.

Only two teams should be in the MACC - BG and Miami.

Oh - and if it happens - BG will win by no less than 28 points. :D

While in Boise, be sure to visit the Peregrine Falcon Fund world headquarters at The World Center for Birds of Prey.

Only fitting.
