This is GREAT news for BG, the students, the fans and the Freaks. Even if the boys have games during the day, the later kickoff means we will be there for sure. Don't know how much tailgating we'll be able to do in the first half of the season but I certainly didn't want to miss the first Big Ten team at the Doyt.

Right now as it looks, we should be able to make at least 6 games during the regular season. Depending on what Saturdays the Freaklings games are and at what time, it could be more. I'll take it. In the youth league Green is in, they usually take the Labor Day Saturday off so we could still be able to make the Pitt game.

Add the MAC title game and bowl and 8 games is still pretty good.

I hope all our kickoffs are 6 or 7 this year. :-D

Damn....let's get the season going...87 measly days. Got the new Phil Steele preview yesterday in the mail. Great to see BG vs CMU for the MAC title as the prediction.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

NICE!

I was afraid with the U picking the game up that meant a noon or 12:30 start, which would mean less tailgating. But a 7:30 start means a FULL day of tailgating fun and no wavering on the decision to attend. I really didn't want to miss the first Big Ten team to play in Perry Stadium, but with the late start time equaling a full day of action East of the Doyt it makes the 12+ hour drive, the hotel in W. Virginia, and a car full of two dogs and tailgating supplies worth it!!!!

Can't wait fire up the grill!

Let's hope the stadium is full to capacity that day! I'm coming all the way from Colorado for this one!

DD,

Great to hear you are making the trip for the game!

Buffaloefalcon,

Wow! All the way from CO? If this game DOES NOT sell out and we don't have a full house, I don't know what will get people in the seats. 7:30 kickoff, Big Ten team, ESPN U, home opener....

As long as my team doesn't do something stupid like make the playoffs, we'll be there!

Unfortunately, with taking vacation the week before to get to Pitt, I'll probably have to miss this one. Not to mention the NFL opens up, so I get to deal with all the "1-0 Colts! w00t! Pats sux!" BS around work.

I have a feeling our first game against Pitt will actually decide how the crowd is for Minn. Sure there are a lot of positives for Minn., but if we lose big to Pitt, I don't see the Doyt packed at all...

We'll be there rain or shine, but let's also hope for a nice day too because keeping the rain away also increases our chance at several thousand more in attendance. Sad, but true.

Was at the barnstorming stop in Sandusky tonight. Coach Brandon was requesting 30,000 for the game. Freddie Barnes was there and said how pumped he gets when the crowd is in the game. I'm ready for this game!!!

Great news. I was at the game in MN last year, and it'll be sweet to get to see the game on TV this year, for the first time at B10 team will come to the Doyt. Sweet.
