Poor little Herd players....their hearts are broken. Did anyone realize Marshall has 27, TWENTY SEVEN, SR's on this year's team? Now granted many are 6th and 7th yr but still!

""We were supposed to leave the MAC on top and let the other teams know we were the dominant team and we were leaving for a reason," Royal said. "It’s not the case this year."

Damn right it isn't the case. BG, UT, NIU and Miami (even though they beat Miami) have all passed Marshall on the ladder. Even Akron...

Excuse me while I shed a tear. *sniff* Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch!

GO FALCONS!!!! DESTROY UT!!!!!

go broncos!

give coach darnell a win in his last game, and, as importantly, marshall its first losing season in 21 years (bear in mind most of those years are that the I-AA level). make sure they get one last slap on the arse on their way out to the "superior" c-usa.

27?!? Whoa darn, they are going to be in a world of hurt next year. I had been curious how many of what they had, but thats beyond my best hopes!

Good luck being a middle-rung team in a lesser conference, trying to recruit against other cupcakes with twice your recruiting budget.

:axe: WAH WAH WAH everybody gets up for Marshall......what a bunch of crybabies. And they even manage to get in a jab about Akron and the rubber bowl.

I could not be any happier to see the black eye of the MAC leaving for the Convict USA. They deserve each other.

Had Marshall held on (against Akron), Bowling Green’s Omar Jacobs could have thrown for three times his weight and it wouldn’t have mattered. A victory the following week against hapless Western Michigan and Marshall was strutting its way to Ford Field for a seventh and final MAC Championship game before joining Conference USA.

So Bowling Green beat Marshall only because Akron beat Marshall.

Oh, and also beause of BG's suspicious field moisture.

We really need help with our strength of schedule this year. I'd like Marshall to win this week, it might help make us look better to any bowl. However, sending them out with a losing schedule would be great.
