Effie James was named Head Basketball Coach at Mansfield High School.

It stated in the Mansfield News Journal that James, who starred in football and basketball at Mansfield Senior, earned a football scholarship to Bowling Green University.

Not sure what position he played and if he played all 4 years.

He redshirted as a tight end in '94, was on the roster in '95, but the current media guide doesn't list him as a letterwinner. Oh, and it's Effie James, btw...
