What are the odds of NIU losing at Eastern.
NIU isn't a very good road team if you look at the scores from their road games this year.
Do the Eagles have a chance?

Well, I believe that NIU is a 10 point favorite. Conventional wisdom would say that NIU kills EMU, but I've never been one to like conventional wisdom.

I would like to think that EMU will be pissed after they were raped last week by Kent and that their seniors will come out fired up. Plus, they may very well feel that this is their chance to affect the way the conference shakes out, because if they beat NIU, they are knocking NIU out of first in the conference in the last weekend of play.

Plus, it will be senior day up in Ypsilanti, and with how bad EMU has been for the past few years, I'm sure that their seniors are going to do whatever it takes to go out on a winning note.

Keep your fingers crossed!

NIU aside I remember someone saying last week that EMU is a team to look out for in the future. Maybe we should be looking out for Kent. They have won three straight and their defense has looked solid. Yes they lose Cribs but it appears things are looking up there. We may start playing them annually again next year. ...EMU 37 NIU 28

I just don't know if Eastern can pull it off.
Lets hope.
Remember, the Falcons could beat Toledo, have the best record in the Mac - and overall.. and not make the championship game.
Question now is.. do we get a bowl birth anyway?

If NIU wins on saturday all information to this time points to us getting a bowl. There simply are not as many teams available to fill the 56 slots as in past seasons. Plus after we beat UT it will be hard to leave a ranked team out of a bowl. However, as we learned in 2001 it doesn't always matter how much you deserve it or how hot your team is.
