MP3?
So apparently in thee coolest feature ever added to NCAA 09 you can decide what music or sounds you want to hear after a 1st down, Touchdown, 3rd down stop etc. But the files have to be mp3, so who has AZZ, Forward Falcons, Sweet Caroline, Zombie Nation, etc on mp3??!??!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I have AZZ, FF, Go BG! and the Alma Mater.
I also have a version of Sweet Caroline, but it's Neil Diamond as opposed to the FMB, and it's live.

That would all work, do you have a way of setting it up to where I can download it? Also I thought of "We Ready" as another song that we use. Right now all I have for BG is Soulja Boy during timeouts, bc the Canes use the same thing..

Dude no doubt about it. I've already tried it and its thee most amazing thing ever. Some guy I know from Purdue apparently knows how to take YouTube files and turn them into MP3 audio files and edit them. So yeah when I play as Purdue now not only do I hear the sounds of the real chants that fans do, but ITS THE REAL FANS DOING THE CHANT AND YOU CAN HEAR THE REAL PA ANNOUNCER IN THE BACKGROUND.hammb wrote:That is absolutely the greatest feature EVER in NCAA football history. I don't plan on buying this year's iteration, but that is freaking SWEET!
In years past its been just like a group of generic voices doing the chant, but now I have a real audio clip of Purdue fans at a prvvious Purdue game yelling 1,2,3,4 First Down (along with the actual band playing the tune to go with it). Also for the Boiler Up chant you can hear the "Boilermaker Special" locomotive engine making the "toot toot" as opposed to the generic horn they had on the game. Of course he has it edited just right so that you can't tell when the game is from, its frickin amazing.
Pretty much this is the most I've ever had my breath taken away from a video game and I'm really hoping we have some experts on here that can get some real footage of chants, songs, announcer talk, etc. from BG games onto MP3 so that I can download and play!!!

BG-SU Chant from the Buffalo rain delay game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ_-aGtIbvk
I might actually be able to convert it to mp3 myself if you're interested.
edit: here.
and Beer Barrel: here.

YES PLEASE!!!! I don't know how much work goes into doing something like that but I'd definitely be willing to pay if you or someone else would take the time to convert to MP3- a lot of game chants, band playing (during an actual game), also I would love a clip of our PA announcer saying "its 3rd down, 3rd and (any #) along with the gongs or whatever sound that is that plays over our videoboard. I'm so excited right now I can't even think of all the little tunes our band traditionally plays throughout the game althought I'm sure someone on here might know.
I really don't want just the generic of the CD version of Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba and Forward Falcons. I mean I'm willing to use those, but here is an example of what my friend put together for Purdue's Boiler Up chant and it sounds A LOT BETTER with the crowd and the fact that its an actual clip from a game!!

Ok now that I’ve calmed down a bit from the excitement of how awesome this new feature is and how no one really talked about it before the release let me put my offer back out there more clearly…
The following are the events for which a user can setup custom sounds:
• Successful Field Goal
• Successful PAT
• Successful 2 pt Conversion
• TD
• Safety
• Defense on 3rd down
• Defense on 4th down
• Kickoff
• Timeout called by home team
• Timeout called by away team
• Tackle for loss or sack
• Defensive stop on 3rd down
• Defensive stop on 4th down
• Turnover
• Defense takes the field after a kick return
• 3rd down conversion successful
• 4th down conversion successful
• 1st down conversion on 1st or 2nd down
• FG missed by opponent
• Booth review
• Start of the 4th quarter
• Penalty on Away team
Obviously I wouldn’t need a song bite for every single one of those. What would be great is if someone could get me some BG stuff in the form of MP3. Again I have no idea how tedious that is or if it’s really easy to do? If necessary I’d be willing to pay a decent amount of money if someone put together a good collection. Just PM me if your interested in going that route?
My wish list:
1. Forward Falcons (from a live game)
2. Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba (from a live game)
3. Our PA announcer saying “It’s 3rd down, 3rrrrrd and….” with the clock gong sound in the background.
4. Any other PA announcer tidbit that matches the list above even if it’s just a few seconds of a sound bite. Ex: Safety, 1st down Falcons, Sack, Penalty flag on the play, turnover
5. The fans chanting BG-SU. Yes the clip from the Buffalo game would work fine.
6. Any other Flacon chants from fans at a game, Lets Go Falcons etc.
7. Yes, maybe even the Falcon Screech when we get a first down?! But I would love to here the PA announcer call for it first.
8. We Ready- Archie (can just be the song doesn’t have to be from BG game, but would love to hear the We Ready/chorus clip of the song
9. Sweet Caroline- Neil Diamond (same as above, not from a game necessarily, but a clip of the chorus)
10. Anything I left out that makes it sound like we’re at a BG game?!
I really appreciate anyone who would be willing to take this task on and make it well done! I’m really hoping someone can because I already have all the Purdue chants and songs added to mine, but I would much rather do a Dynasty with BG! As mentioned before I would be willing to pay someone to do all of this. Let me know…

If you can dig up some links to YouTube clips that have sounds you'd like, it's not all that complicated of a process. I could rip a few of them to mp3 format for you. The Buffalo one is edited into my earlier post and I added one for the Beer Barrel Polka, even though I'm not sure if/where it could fit in that list.

Wow that search of YouTube just made me realize how poorly represented we are on there.
The only real game footage I could find at the Doyt was the “cheap shot” from WKU. You can hear our PA announcer on there but not very well and the TV guys are talking over him. Hopefully someone can post some more footage for their own good reasons and I could find some good sound bites for the game? If not here is the best of what I found and the bits I want on mp3… THANKS!

Serious question: Can anyone tell me how "Sweet Caroline" came to be affiliated with sports? Its a syrupy, bad pop song that would seem to have the opposite affect of revving a team or fan base up. In fact Wikipedia actually credits it with being the cause of New York Ranger losses and we all know that it must be so. Anyone? Anyone?
