Mike Martz's son joins BG staff

Our new football GA is Tim Martz, the son of longtime NFL coach/mad offensive scientist Mike Martz.
The offspring of coaches turn out to be quality coaches themselves more often than not because they've been around the game their entire lives and have a unique understanding of the demands of the job.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think it means Graduate Assistant.

Yup. GA's break down tape, run the scout teams and perform a myraid of other tasks assigned by the football staff. They also have to take graduate classes on top of everything to be considered 'students' and not members of the regular coaching staff.
