I thought I would post links to the Dayton Daily News' articles about Miami's preparation for the upcoming season.
Hopefully - others can post what the local papers are saying about the MAC school near you and we can have a running "Reader's File" on the various programs as they prepare for the season. Maybe we can sticky this until the beginning of the season.

Not trying to be a d-bag but wouldn't this thread be better served as multiple threads, one for each school, in the "Other Schools" forum? I think if everyone that supports someone other than BG on this forum started posting on this one thread it could be really cluttered and hard to follow...just the Obsessive Compulsive Organizer in me...feel free to ignore.

No - I think it belongs here and I would hope that someone would be posting the BG articles.
The thread is intended for us BG football fans wanting to be able to read about our opponents and how they are preparing for the season.
It would be my opinion this thread would end when the season starts.
If so desired - we can ask to limit the links to MAC teams on our schedule only.
Just my thoughts...... so post your article link already

From today's Dayton Daily - Reviews Miami's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams on both sides of the ball.
Defense praised in Srimmage
The Parseghian era of Miami Placekickers will continue this year...... I think this is #3.
< correct that..... Nathan is #2 - his brother Jared was PK prior to Nathan..... just seems like there has been a Parseghian kicking at Miami for 10 years>

Two days left before the season kicks off.......
Redhawks healthy as Season Opener Looms
Redhawks have solid tailback choices
This will probably be my last post in this thread. I doubt there will be another story until Thursday which will just preview the game.
.... too bad I couldn't get others to post local stories on BG and the other MAC teams here. Would have been nice to have a single thread that functioned as a "Reader File"

Well it was ugly last night. If I were you guys, when you play Miami. Line up a runningback in the backfield, directly hike the ball to him, have him run a counter, and he'll have a minimum of 5 yards on every run.
Our starting QB, believes that WR's are 8 feet tall.
Our OC, is using the same playbook from the last five seasons, which only contains 9 plays, so it should be easy to defend us.
Our Defense looks great, when aren't suckered in on every fake handoff, where the QB takes off.
Special teams are anything but.
this is going to be a long season.

Redskins4ever -
I was at last night's game also........ Vanderbilt was a mediocre team at best. They could not run straight on us and they did not pass well against us, but their QB tore us apart running the ball himself.
If Tyler Sheehan suddenly becomes mobile in the backfield, BG could chew the MAC up. The #1 defense in the MAC last year had no answer for it last night.
Vandy had big plays.... Redhawks laid a big one. Next week will just be a beat down..... Michigan certainly won't let it be any other way.
I certainly hope BG comes out of the gates blazing this weekend and next. Pitt will be a tough test.
BTW - The student section looked great last night in all white. East stands were easily 80% filled. Too bad they left at half time.

I have never understood that tradition of leaving at half time. I never did it as a student, because the game is never over. The one time I left, Miami gave up a 21 point lead against NIU, it what had to be one of the most lopsided games in MAC history.

Thanks for the update. I was at the Browns game last night although I wanted to be home watching Miami. I really thought the Redhawks would win.

I know they're 1-AA but Eastern laid a beatdown on Indiana State, 52-0.
I think the Eagles' offense is nothing to trifle with this season.
