Some updates so far:

PJ Pope had a team-high 4 catches for 39 yards and rushed a team-high 8 times but for only 17 yards (long of 11) for the Bears (vs. the Chiefs).

Steve Sanders had 3 catches for 29 yards for the Browns (vs the Jets).

Khary Campbell head a team-high 8 tackles for the Redskins (vs. the Jets).

Shaun Suisham hit 4 PATs but missed a FG for the Redskins (vs. the Colts).

I noticed on Gametracker, he also had a lot of incompletes. Any one see the game to know if the bulk of those were on Steve, or were they all Ken "Yes, they really ARE paying me to do this" Dorsey?

Or Ken "I am here to hold Brady's hand" Dorsey. Without seeing it, my guess would be it was on Dorsey.

Because having an experienced, smart QB as your 3rd QB holding a clip board is such a bad thing.....right?

Dude, Dorsey is a crappy QB...I see you're a 'Canes fan but there's no defending the guy...he's awful...8 for 23 against 3rd team D's awful.

He's awful, but there is nobody else I'd rather have for the Browns' 3rd QB. He'll never play a down in a regular season game, so who cares?

He's a great mentor for our two young QBs, and he knows the offense better than anyone not named Chudzinski.

If DA & BQ both get injured you can bet that somebody else will be brought in immediately, and the season is already over at that point anyways, so who cares? I would MUCH rather have a guy like Dorsey as my 3rd stringer than somebody that I hope is going to develop. Any NFL team loses their top 2 QBs and the season is done, so you may as well have a mentor type like Dorsey as the 3rd stringer.

Still, he does blow pretty hard when he's on the field. He'd be better suited to coaching, but they have to give him a roster spot to keep him around, so be it.

I'm sure you're the same type of person who still wonders when Omar will crack the NFL. Dorsey has the brain, and that's why he's the 3rd string QB. He'll probably never play a meaningful down in the league, but he's a great mentor for Brady/Derek, and knows the offense as good as anyone (remember that Chud was at Miami with Dorsey) in Cleveland.

Thank you. He might be a glorified coach, but he is there to mentor the other two QBs.

Well this is for certain, he can teach Brady Quinn how to play and win big games. Please roll the list of Brady Quinn's monumental achievements too. I'm not trying to push Dorsey into the starting QB spot, all I'm saying is that he's your THIRD STRING QB. If Quinn/Anderson got hurt, do you think Romeo would put Dorsey in there? No, they'd bring in a new QB mid-season. He's a coach wearing a jersey, and I'm willing to bet that Dorsey will eventually spend a long time in the league as an assistant. The guy brings a great deal of intelligence to the field, but not much else, unfortunately.

I don't think Omar has a chance to make it in the NFL...he couldn't even get the playbook down, let alone the game speed, which is weird because he's adapted to the indoor league fairly well apparently...also, you don't need to echo everything someone before you said. I know you're just trying to make your point, but someone already made it for you.

I'm just bitter that the first taste of football for the fall ended up in a game of keepaway (and not all that successful, either, at least as far as DB's are concerned). You're right that he's never going to see the field and maybe he provides a lot more than I can imagine on the sidelines, but last night was a disappointing end to a meaningless game.

On the bright side, the Browns seemed to move pretty well in the first half when starters were in, and Rucker seemed to have a solid game.

I recorded the re-air of the Bears-Chiefs game last night on NFL Network and watched it today. PJ looked pretty good on a few plays where he side stepped a defender. Unfortunately unless the Bears keep four backs or suffer a serious injury I think PJ will probably be relegated to the scout team once again. Garrett Wolfe actually looked really good scoring on about a 25 yard TD pass where he did most of the work and also ripping off a 42 yard run. I know the Bears are looking for a change of pace type of back to compliment Peterson and Forte, Wolfe really showed up last night and looks to be the man for that right now.

chicago just isnt where you want to be if you are an offensive player haha. i really want pj to go to buffalo cuz i think he would fit in perfectly behind lynch and fred jackson. in chicago u have ol reliable adrian peterson then they just drafted forte in the 3rd round i believe..??? and they really want wolf to be their 3rd down back with his ability to catch the ball and make people miss such as he did against ohio state.

He would struggle to make the team in Buffalo too in my opinion. Obviously Lynch is the starter and there's nobody that is going challenge him for that. Pope is basically the same type of player as Fred Jackson, just not as good. Then the Bills have Dwayne Wright who they drafted last year out of Fresno that they really like, especially as a number three back. Then their fourth guy is probably rookie Xavier Omon who was a great back in Division II. Omon is the only guy I think he could beat out of the four. Buffalo is very young, but extremely talented at running back. I'm just not sure that would be the place for him to get a chance to succeed.

It's coming full circle! Derek on the sideline, the G-Men take out Brady, and then Dorsey's brady-esc rise to the top of the world begins. He does somewhat resemble TBrady's frame, right?
