Excuse me? There's two teams they lost to last year. How can you count that as easy? When you lose at home to a D-II team, NOTHING should be counted as easy. The writer seems to give them every benefit of the doubt.Minnesota can't take anything for granted, but starting off with a non-conference schedule against Northern Illinois, at Bowling Green, Montana State and Florida Atlantic doesn't get too much easier
Right. I'm sure ALL it would've taken was a slightly better defense and they would have been 7-5. Let the Big Ten bias begin now. I don't know why I'm surprised.the Gophers, with a slightly better defense, would've beaten Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, Northwestern, North Dakota State, and Wisconsin, and possibly Iowa and Purdue.
