Steve Sanders update

Post by JohnnySwoop '85 »

Steve shows up as waived on the just released roster moves of the Browns.
Damn.
Hopefully gets picked up by someone else, or signed to Practice squad, which could have high probability of being activated from there given the way their receivers have gone down in pre-season.

What in the world does a Falcon skill position player have to do to get a frickin' roster spot? Keep workin' Steve.

The keep Paul Hubbard over Steve? You got to be kidding me?

Steve did look very good. But with Hubbard...a draft pick in his first camp is very unlikely to get cut.

Yes, I guess you are right the more I think about it. Browns gave up a draft pick to move up and get him. They probably thought they could sneak Steve through waivers and onto the practice squad easier than they could Hubbard.

Perhaps a better question is why did the Browns feel the need to keep 9 linebackers, but only 4 WRs??

Steve is playing in the pre-season game vs the Bear's right now. I thought he was waived?

Uh....never mind. Just found out the game I'm seeing is a replay from Tues.

Steve is, I think, still eligible for the practice squad and will most assuredly get a spot there, I'd think. I had pretty much written Hubbard off because he hadn't done anything all preseason, but I guess they weren't willing to cut a guy they gave up next year's draft pick for...he's a project they're willing to wait on.

I would love to see Steve on the Browns, but I think he could help some other teams as well. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make it through waivers.
