WE Win!!! OMG!!!
A total out of mind defensive performance by the BG D today. Started extremely slow but slowly worked our way back into a rhythm. I'm still in shock. This is the one game I thought was almost un-winnable, but needless to say I never new Pitt's qb was that bad. Lets whip some Minnesota azz next week. Pack the Doyt.

No I don't. I never envisioned our D doing what they did today and Pitt's Qb being as unremarkable as he was. The Mac has about 4 or 5 qb's better than Stull. Pitt's receivers were unremarkable. 129 rushing yds for Pitt total. That is the real shock, based off past experience of watching our D get gouged in games with stud Rb's or "supposed" stud rb's. I simply envisioned a repeat of Brian Calhoun against us and it didn't happen. Mad props to the D. I don't know if this means our D is really good now or not, we'll have to see as the season progresses. Everyone pray for d-line health cuz the margin for error is razor thin.Flipper wrote:You think every game is unwinnable....
We need to sell out the Doyt next weekend , no excuses. This has been setup perfectly for it. If we can't do this after a top 25 win I don't we can do. The boys deserve it. Roll Along!

Speaking of which, does anybody know about Nick Torresso's status? He went down with an apparent knee injury in the 1st quarter.Falconboy wrote:Everyone pray for d-line health cuz the margin for error is razor thin.Flipper wrote:You think every game is unwinnable....

Yeah, its like that spring game was a little telling after all. Offense took a while to get going and really we're capable of a lot more than what we saw today, but then again if this really is a top 10 defense in Pitt then I guess you can't complain too much. We really haven't faced a defense ranked as highly as Pitt's was supposed to be.BourbonFalcon wrote:That was the best defensive play I've ever seen from a BG team! They were hitting hard and tackling well all game. Down field coverage was great! I know it's a little weird to say, but the defense won us that game today!! Roll Along!!!
