Is anyone hearing how we're being be-littled?! I'm so sick of hearing that teams shouldn't lose to a MAC team! What a rip! At least they showed some parts of the game (only to hope Pitt would come back).

That was horrible coverage by ESPN for one of the biggest stories of the day. Cut out just when it's getting interesting....

No wonder they all were acting as if they were commentating on a friggen funeral. I'm so glad we got Pitt.

Let me paraphrase the coverage highlights they just gave:
Reece Davis"Pitt who was picked by some as a potential winner of the Big East, loses to a MAC team. Mark what's your opinion?"
Mark May: "It's a DEBACLE"
Reece Davis: "More on that story throughout the day".
Debacle. I love the whole sound of that word!

ESPNU did us some justice, though. They mentioned ECU over VT being an upset, and said that BG winning wasn't much of an upset. It could be considered one since Pitt was #25, but BG had 8 wins last season and Pitt had only 5. At least they did their homework and realized that BG winning wasn't some miracle.

Whew..I thought it was just me. It was very tough for them to say anything good about BG.

Here we go again...Remember...They aren't alumni. They don't bleed orange and brown. All they see is a team that hasn't won the lil ol' MAC in decades...Now let's crush the Gophers...

We haven't done anything to earn that (yet). We beat a team that had a losing record last year. If we can go unscathed in OOC than yes, we should be a top 25 team.
Don't call it an upset...

A great win, but there's no way you can call it an upset...maybe we're just good!
A MAC team beating a BCS team doesn't automatically make it an upset!
Let's enjoy this one, but we better be ready for a HUGE night next week.
GO BG!

It never mattered as Pitt was dealt its worst upset home loss since a 35-26 defeat in 2001 to Division I-A neophyte South Florida.

Pittsburgh, a trendy pick to win the Big East this season, completely spit the bit against Bowling Green today

Looks good in the written word...but for god sakes don't call it an upset
GO FALCONS

Wait a minute... a non-BCS club member does well and the company that broadcasts the BCS (Disney) and other talking heads don't like it? A non-BCS school not getting credit? This is unheard of!
Great job guys. East Carolina beat Va Tech today too. When non-BCS teams can play with the "big boys" this distinction and start going away. I can't wait and hope we do our part against Arkansas in a couple months.
