Just stopped by the Pitt forum just to say, "great game..." but the anger that is all over that forum prevented me from congrating them...I mean, us. But one thing I noticed that was good about their fans is that they don't bash the players or the team too much. Although they did dogg us out like we're a bunch of scrubs. I didn't want to even touch this one.

Eh, they are pretty steamed cuz there was a LOT of hype about Pitt going into the season. I'd let it go and focus on MN. Pitt fans better watch out for Buffalo....

I would give it a couple more days to simmer down over there. They're good folks over there, they're just experiencing some severe let-down.
It happens to all of us.

Off the top of my head, I remember the reactions to a certain bowl game in 2008 against a certain team from Tulsa, OK...
Pitt fans, and BG fans for that matter, need to use my model for dealing with extreme disappointment: just drink a case of beer. It'll make the immediate disappointment suck less, and your hangover will be so bad that you won't even begin to think about your disappointment for at least three days, and by then, you'll have realized that life goes on. It's foolproof!

I found that the Pitt fans that I spoke to were pretty level-headed after the game.
As I was walking back to the car, a Heinz Field employee congratulated me on the win and was pretty up-front about Pitt not being as good as they thought just because they beat WV last year. He also praised Matt Cavanaugh as offensive coordinator, which I'm not too sure why.
I then told him to watch out for Buffalo next week since they are an up and coming MAC program. He said, "What, you mean they're Division I, too?". I said, "Yes, they're in our conference." He clearly feared what could happen the rest of the season
