Time to vent on FalconVision

Post by KeyWestParrot »

Does anyone else get as frustrated as I do with FalconVision??

When they show live action it seems that it is always focused in to tight to the QB and you can't get a good view of the play developing.

Stop with the live ground level views, it doesn't do anything to help follow the play. Keep ground level for replays instead.

Too many times it missed live action cause it was showing a replay, the crowd or someone along the sidelines.

Is there a MAC directive not to show controversial replays. If so tell the MAC to stick it, they sure don't seem to do a whole lot for BG. Otherwise we would be playing Boise at home this year.

Show more score updates. Usually can only see them at halftime.

I have no television experience but at times I think I can do a better job directing.

My problem with FalconVision is that it is the tiniest screen i've ever seen in a football field. It needs to be at least twice as big in order for it to look impressive and in order for people in the student section to even see what is on it

If I could actually see the thing, I could try and answer this question. I was thrilled when we got the videoboard a couple years ago, but that thing is WAY too small for the Doyt. IMO, they should move it to the hockey arena as part of the renovation project and put a new one in at Perry Stadium that we can actually see, like the same size as the ones the other schools in the MAC that have one use. I hope the new Stroh Center is going to have one.
GO BG!!!

I think Schadenfreude named it best - Microtron.

It's way too small to be effective in any way.
