Alaboody was at the game Saturday in his high school jersey, which had his last name on it, so we knew who it was. We in the front row of the student section started a we want Alaboody chant

Yup, I remember hearing about the rampant racism many of them were dealing with immediately after 9/11. I don't know if it's the largest percentage, or in raw numbers, but by some statistical measure it is (or was?) the largest area for Mid-East descendants in the country.

I believe Dearborn has the greatest concentration of Arabic descent in North America. I lived there until first grade, so yeah, I'm basically an insider. Also will never forget 9/11 (hot damn, really seven years ago today?), when our football team was preparing to take on the most heavily Arabic school in Dearborn. There were some racial slurs that went on that week...
