Saturday's Team Entrance
When the falcons took the field saturday, the went directly to Minnesota's entracne point - what was that all about? I was on the visitors side and could only tell that it was an unusual path to the field (usually they go to their own sideline or stop at the 50 first)?

"locked the gate" meaning you are getting locked in here and we are gonna have our way with you, rough you up, beat you up etc. I thought it as pretty weak. I'm not for these motivational tactics. plus someone from the AD went over and unlocked it at kickoff. was standing right there in that corner.

Who cares about locking the gates? Who knew that's what they were doing? Maybe a handful of people on here, Minnesota fans prob. had no idea, it wasn't on ESPN. Tell me where our reputation suffers because of this?always a falcon wrote:Huge crowd-lock an exit- insult the visitors while you are there- oh and add in the seat cushions-----I swear some of these things are dumber than a box of rocks.

Our reputation suffers when fans, and more importantly, those fans who make contributions to help support our teams see such classless acts by our student athletes. Our "image" isn't just about what people outside of our community think about us. The word integrity comes to mind.Falcon137 wrote:Who cares about locking the gates? Granted, I wasn't there for any of this, unfortunately, but if the reports about this are true, I'm pretty disappointed in the team for doing this. We should always show respect for our opponents. Unless they are from Toledo. But otherwise, always.

WoW i don't care they did that...But first of all you gotta back it up and win...I would love for teams to be scared to come here.
This is kind of off topic but the Celtics used to play mind games with the Lakers when they used to come to the old Garden. So why not try to pysch out the opponent.

Our reputation suffers because it looks like we are immediately going over to taunt our opponents instead of running on the field and getting down to business. If they want to chain themselves together on the bench- whatever- but don't insult the other people with a stupid stunt. Insult them by beating the living crap out of them and winning.Falcon137 wrote:Who cares about locking the gates? Who knew that's what they were doing? And becuase I am older than dirt- I worry about a sell out crowd and an incident and the effing gate locked.
And I am still a bit cranky over the Credit card incident, the hold up, and the kid who drank and got the same punishment as the Credit card crew.
Let's try to keep dumb AZZ ideas to a minimum.
Stepping down off soapbox now.

AAF, I've met dirt before, and you are nowhere near as old as dirt. to the defense of the team. It was not the team that got beat that way. The was amazingly strong, till they said f**k it in the 4th. the O was doing what they could with the awful play calling.
coaching is what that game, specifically Offensive play calling, minny was soft on the right corner all night, soft over the middle and when were set to run loaded the box...a pass out of that formation and more attacks at the right corner...who we only went after 4 times, a completed pass, a touch down, a completed pass...then in the 4th when he floated that lame duck out towards the 50......the man under him, was wide open as that corner was 10 yards to the middle of the field and back at least that far after getting beat.
I have to say I had serious doubts about the Team. The only real doubt and draw back to this team is the weak offensive play calling and lack of varity and total predictably. the bad music choices all night did not help either...I was waiting for the team get fired up from a tribute to glen miller or Cats....or the stray cats or the sound track to the breakfast club.
