BG News Sports has a nice spread of the Defense on pages 10 and 11.

Only one small, minor problem - it says BEAT TEMPLE.

We don't even play Temple this year.

It's FAR too much to ask for the BG News sports writers to know all the intricacies of MAC football scheduling. Heck, us azzers don't understand it, what hope do they have?

On a less "OOPS" of a note, the Indy Star last Sunday wrote about how "QB Adam Weber led host Minnesota to a win over Bowling Green."

Details, schmetails.

That wasn't actually the BG News that messed up. The production department is in charge of putting the ads in every night, and they have certain templates that they reuse at different times. The production department used the "BEAT WHOEVER!" template from last year's home opener with Temple, but forgot to switch the team. The sports section had no control over what happened, and I actually had no idea it was in the paper until I saw it this morning. it's embarrassing, definitely.

Not bad, but doesn't top my all-time BG News favorite:

"Heroes plentiful win over Huskies Falcons"

Ahhh, memories.
