From reading Ohio news sites about the Falcons...

I gather that the team's offensive production has been an issue. In fact, a lot of the issues are similar to what the Cowboys have been dealing with. I'm really concerned that BG has had two weeks to prepare for Wyoming while the Pokes were getting manhandled by the Zoobs. I think that will add to the challenge. Thank God we're playing this in Laramie. Both Ohio and North Dakota State seemed to be affected by the 7220 feet elevation late in the game. It really was kind of a 12th man for Wyoming. However, your coach was an assistant here under Paul Roach in the 80s, so I'm sure he has a good idea of how to handle it. I'm looking forward to a good game, hopefully one Wyoming prevails, but we'll see.

IMO, our offense is designed to fail. Much of it is just 4-5 yard passing routes and QB draws. We don't throw the ball deep very much, and most defenses are able to adjust on us pretty quickly, especially if the game is tight. It's all shotgun spread, which I hate because it's so predictable. I'm expecting a low scoring game, it'll be a defensive battle coming down to turnovers.

Funny...

It's sad. I believe we had the talent to open up things more here, but the coaching philosophy is sub-par to say the least. When I watched Ball State this weekend, and I see a solid mix of plays under center and in shotgun, that's the offense I want BG to run. I haven't seen much of the Cowboys this year, but I've heard you guys have a solid D and a struggling offense, as you mentioned.

We've also had way too many turnovers this year, at least in the 2 games we've lost. Our conservative offense combined with turnovers has led to some disappointing offensive efforts this year, IMO.

Man, talk about a parallel universe...

Turnovers, lack of execution, poor scheming...

You want to talk about being jelous of another school's offense, you ought to check out BYU. They are a machine. The Pokes did well in the first quarter holding the Coogs back, but they made adjustments and began to roll. That, and the gave up 6 TOs, three of which the Zoobs used to score. It was depressing.

Wow chill out, our kicking game is the least of my worries right now. Iovo is puntin the crap out of the ball and putting offenses deep in their own territory. Sinisa did fine on kick offs against Boise and did exactly what the coach asked. Now the missed field goals were a problem, but none of the field goals were gimme kicks either, but definately kicks Sinisa should have and usually does make, not to mention one hitting off the post. I am not worried bout our kicking game at all, that will be resolved.

One thing about the 7220 foot elevation...
