Toledo Ticket Fraud
I called their this morning and they said they had about 1700 tickets remaining. I called 45 minutes later and requested 2 tickets as close to the Bowling Green section and I was told the are sold out. I had my cousin call and ask the same thing and they said they were sold out. So we drove Toledo and tried getting tickets there. I went there with my Bowling Green hat, and BG coat on, and they said they were sold out. My buddy for kicks put on a toledo rocket hat and a toledo t-shirt and was able to purchase 4 tickets, but was told they are almost sold out, less than 2000 left. Seems like UT doesn't want any BG fans to buy tickets. So if you need tickets, as much as I hate to say it, do not tell them you are from BG. If you do, you may not get any tickets.

Don't forget that $3.00 processing fee. And if you had to take money out of your ATM account, you paid another $2.00 fee.

They are scared. They know the BG fans will swamp the place, as we used to in the early to mid 90s if they just throw the gates open. However, I suspect we will anyway. Most people don't bother to ask to sit near the BG section, so most of their sales to our fans have gone unchallenged.
Should we be amused they fear for their own turf? After all the BS from their fans about coming down here and being the only fans to show up?

Yep Nate, you are right on.

BG fans don't even show up at their OWN stadium, but you go on believing that you guys are gonna outnumber the Rocket faithful at the Glass bowl.
Shame on any of you BG fans who believe bgsufan1972's story of woe. Both of versions of his story.

Why would I post stuff if it wasnt true. Just telling us BG fans that if they are told the game is sold out, not to believe them. Toledo will do everything it can not to see tickets to BG. If that wasn't the case then they would send more tickets down to BG when BG sold out its share of tickets.

I see we are getting through the thin skin of our UT counterparts.
I called myself and got the same story about no tickets left. I didn't bother wasting my time with the second call.
If there aren't a lot of BG fans around to show up to our games, it is because they choose to escape this part of Ohio while they had the chance.

TJ, i doubt anyone here thinks we will outnumber the rocket fans. Thats jsut crazy talk. I was at cubs/reds games in cinci where the cubbie had 5 tiems the fans as the reds, btu thats totally different. WE jsut know, as well as you do, that being such a good rivalry, being so close, classes in session(for once) and so much on the line, that BG will travel a large crowd.
I doubt 72 would lie about this. If you think he is, shame on YOU. I dont question this at all. Im sure it happens everywhere. Does anyoen really know how many tickets they gave to BGSU to sell? if its anythign less than 1000 that is jsut plain wrong, realistically we should probably get 2000+ in that sized stadium and being so close.
its definatly wrong to do that, and I dont put it past toledo one bit. Its jsut sad to see stuff like that, what poor sports.
