Wow. Didn't see that coming. UT isn't great by any means but FL Int has been pretty bad. UT rarely loses ever at home , especially to teams of equal or possibly lesser caliber.

If this continues and UT loses to BG, Stutz may be gone.

My jaw just dropped when I saw that score scroll....couldn't believe it.

UT played so well against Fresno State...

FIU isn't a very good team but they did hold USF to 17 last week.

Even Viagra could not help those limp Rockets today.

They're 1-3 with Ball State and Michigan up next, That will most likely put them at 1-5, they would have to flip that number and go 5-1 with games against WMU, CMU, NIU, Akron, Miami and BGSU to play....I don't see how they can avoid another losing season. Giving the rationale for firing Joplin, I don't see hwo they could bring the fat man back for 2009.

I thought this might happen if you look at what we all thought of FIU and that is probably the REP they have around the MAC. I watched them play on ESPNU against #13 South FLA last week and they played them extremely tough this does not come as a huge shock

Don't count them out yet ... yeah they looked pretty pathetic against FIU, but they looked very good against FSU. If Michigan plays the way they did in the second half against UT, Michigan will win, but Ball State could be on upset alert. Yeah Ball State is really good, but Toledo has a way of bringing in a hell of a game against great opponents, especially when the Rockets are an afterthought. Don't count UT out against Ball State ... that's motivation for the team up north!

Yeah, ever since his daughter graduated, there's really no reason for that choad to be on campus.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting a Toledo win over Ball State next week. I think this loss to FIU was a case of looking ahead and they will be ready to go next Saturday.

The Ball State game is going to define their season.

Big game.

Ball State has a minor history of up-ending UT, especially when they aren't supposed to.

BSU is maybe the best team in the MAC, and I don't think UT has the mental nuts required to beat them. They've been beaten twice in their own stadium, a BSU team that smells blood in the MAC waters, is going to go in there and want to thrash UT, not just beat them. BSU's letdown would have come this past week, it didn't.

It is going to be a long season for UT..........bwah hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

UT Rushing

Maybe the biggest surprise ...more so than the loss...was that UT rushed for LESS (I think) than 100 yds...

They ran the heck out of the ball against Fresno...and that looked pretty scary...did THEY have a mental letdown after a very tough OT game?
