What Will the Offensive Gameplan vs. EMU be?

They are giving up silly numbers on the ground and our rush game is towards the bottom of the M.A.C. so far this season. The bread and butter of our offense, the passing game, finally started clicking at Wyoming. Do we pound it against the vulnerable EMU rush defense?
I think Geter and Bullock are both capable backs and have a chance to rack up some yards against this EMU defense. At the same time though Sheehan and the aerial game got some rhythm going vs. Wyoming and you don't want to abandon that approach if you feel you need to keep those coals warm.
What I would like to see is a nice game plan that doesn't deviate from our normal points of attack- play to our strengths in the pass game and then pound it out on the ground and play keep away.
What does everyone think we will do Saturday and what would everyone like to see the Falcons do against the Eagles?

pass pass pass, score score score. Call off the hounds in the 2nd half, and see how bad the RB's want the endzone.
I remember games w/Harris and Jacobs at the helm. Ones where we'd have our 2nd and 3rd team offense in running up the middle every play to run off some clock, and we would still score a lot.

Yea, I agree. I think we need to do whatever it takes to score as many points as possible and put a hurtin on EMU. Considering its homecoming, I would expect them to come out and put on a show. Hopefully, I am right so that maybe we can win back some of those fans we may have lost from the Minnesota game.

I can see us starting to run it more. Last year in non-conference we hardly ever ran it but once conference play started up we started running it.
I can see us being pretty balanced.

Start with our bread and butter. Pass and open up the field. Play our game. Mix in the run now and then to keep EMU's D honest. Put some good points on the board. Then control the clock with running and short passing game. Don't give up the big plays that could change the momentum of the game.
Should be a good game for our falcons.

I agree the Emu's are terrible, but they have taken it to CMU a few times in the last couple of years. Plan on a win, but come ready to play.

J4H has figured out Brandon's plan...he used the same one against Minny and Boise.

Don't expect much difference in the scheme, short higher-probability throws are our definition of a running attack....we'll set that up for the first 4 out of 5 plays on a drive...then an over the top go-long to Parks or Sparts Kid.
Some of you are right though, once we chalk up the better part of the 20.5 that BoDog has us favored by we'll opt for more time consumption with run orientation to give the Zips film watchers something else to worry about
On our way to 38-17...and some of that is scored late as we get some PT to some of the newbies on both sides of the ball.
and yes, the TE will catch 2 passes. Now that would be a good Over/Under

I suspect GB will try to establish a run game early on in this one. One of the reasons why the offense went to the air so much was due to size differences in our OOC sked. I'd like to see Geter/Bullock get 150 combined with Sheehan 250 through the air.

Spread the field, open the running lanes with dink and dunk passes. When they adjust for the 5-7 yarders hit'em long. Play the mismatches.

Stay in bounds when the you control the clock and throw on 3rd down with 1 and a half left! SWEET!

And then throw an incompletion.
