Is this our future schedule? I thought they hadn't finished the OOC games yet.

While nothing is ever set in stone, I would say these are up to date because these are the same schedules that having been appearing in this season's games notes for each game

If that is the case for 2009, that means we open the season at home on a Thursday night! That would be fun, especially against a good Troy program.

2011 looks like an amazing home schedule. Maryland and Boise State coming to the Doyt in back to back weeks! The road game at Idaho should be winnable. Maybe throw in a mid-tier big ten team (indiana/northwestern/purdue) as the other road game and that would be the year to bust the BCS. Hopefully we recruit very well the next couple years and set up for a hell of a run in '11.
But first, let's win the MAC in '08!!!
CRUSH EMU!!!!!!!

I'm glad you said let's win in '08 first. But, seriously, aren't we getting a bid ahead of things kids? BCS busters? Geez, let's win a damn conference championship before we think about crashing the BCS party.

I hope that schedule doesn't change too much. I would love to be able to see my Falcons in back to back years in '11 and '12. Although that is a long time to wait...any chances at making the bowl game that is played at the smurf turf this year?

All the '09 OCC games are a reasonable driving distance from the swamp. This might be a good time to start planning on attending every game. You've got to set goals!

Looking at page 4 of the Game Notes for Eastern, the same future OCC schedule is shown. http://bgsufalcons.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_ ... otesforEMU
Looks like we are closer to getting our 6 home games a year with 2 OCC home games in 2009,2011 and 2012 and 4 home MAC games a year. Should br some interesing road trips to Missour and Maryland.

We have played Va Tech a few times over the years. What's the relationship there? I wonder if Urban at Florida would ever throw us a bone?

I can't get that excited about Troy. Not that they won't be a good team, just that for some reason, I wouldn't be all that excited about watching them. I would rather play Army or Navy. We need to figure out ways to recreate the Minny game atmosphere at least once a year.

I wonder who our 4th teams for 2011 and 2012 will be. I agree that a mid-tier B10 school would work great there since we've already got Maryland and Boise coming into the Doyt.

Maybe we could get a home-and-home with Northwestern, Iowa, Indiana or Minnesota again, play there in 2011 and have them come to the Doyt in 2012. Then we'd be set with solid schedules for the next 4 years (aside from having to play on the road 7 times in 2010)

I have wondered that about Florida myself. Tressel does it with YSU, why can't he do it to the school that gave him his start. I know they like to line up a few cupcakes each year, why not give us a crack. (No I am not saying we are a cupcake team, but realistically can we expect ourselves to beat a team like Florida on a regular basis.)

What about a Texas CUSA team? SMU, Rice, UTEP?
