BG @ Akron predictions

OK, I'll start this one a little early. We've got a lot of frustrations so maybe this would be a good thing to do this thread on Monday this week.
You know, I hate to say it, but I think Buffalo and Akron have been showing themselves to be the best in the east on the field. I think when we play our A game, we are the best in the conference, even better than Ball State, but the team is so wildly inconsistent that we only see that A game after the team gets embarrassed. That being said, if that trend continues, I feel very sorry for every player wearing an Akron uniform. If we come out against Akron like we did against Pitt after Tulsa or against Kent in 07 after Miami or against Ohio in 06 after Kent, its going to be a VERY long day for Akron and a spoiled final homecoming game in the Rubber Bowl.
Passing offense gets going again, defense gets going again, Briggs takes out his frustration on Akron QBs. If I'm Briggs, I have two goals for the game:
1. Get to the quarterback.
2. Get to the backup quarterback.
Prediction: BG 31, Akron 17.

Everytime I think of BG-Akron, I think of Charlie Williams laying the wood to a punt returner there in '94 or so.
I hope this year's team can turn it around and lay some similar wood this week.

The wind has been completely taken out of my sails by losing to Eastern Michigan. It was a deflater. It is so frustrating to follow Brandon led teams...so many let down games. Frustration has led to apathy.

BG on the road, sounds like the best medicine for this team.

From what I've seen this is a completely different team on the road. The Falcons will give Akron way more than they can handle, and again we'll all be asking the same question, "Where the hell were these guys last week?".
BG 31 - Akron 3

BG - More
UA - Less
A roadie this week is good for the team and coaching staff. I honestly can not predict scores anymore with this team. As long as BG wins. That's all that matters.

I agree. As long as we win, I don't care. I'm done giving score predictions.

Schizo BG rolls over Akron this week. If they don't then they go from being schizo to just being crappy. I still think they're schizo, so I say they roll.
All bets are off for the following week though.

I predict that we will give ourselves false hope for the rest of the season.

BGSU 34
Akron 31
In Overtime. Akron gains a lot on the ground. AT gets all the touches he didn't get in the second half against EMU. The team puts Sinisa in range thats make-able. Dozier comes home and gets some sacks
Oh, and there are at least 2 plays late in the game where the Falcons catch up that are gutsy calls by the coaches because there is no more tomorrow with a loss.
I don't know if Akron's band still plays while the game is in progress...
