Once again...we drive down field and instead of going for it....we kick it from 34 yards......and miss.

Just something to think about ... did you notice who was holding? Derek Brighton, #84. Not saying that the hold was bad, but when Vrvillo misses from that range, I question everything. Now I know Vrvillo has not had a great year this year and won't rule out that he just screwed it up, but that was the first play that Brighton had all year. I talked to his parents and the doctors didn't clear him to play at receiver, but they cleared him to hold, and the coaches wanted to at least get his feet wet again with some sort of playing time so when he is back at full time WR, he'll have some game speed under his belt. Just a thought.
And I agree ... we've got SERIOUS problems on special teams again. Its not anywhere nearly as bad as 06, but between the missed kicks and the big kickoff returns, our special teams have been quite "special" recently.

And Sinisa nailed a 44 yarder to give BG a 4 pt lead. How about giving props to him for that? Like MarkL said, Brighton was on the field for the first time all year....His parents told me the same thing about the doctors clearing him to hold but not play WR.
Iovinelli had a nice night of punting, 3 punts for a 40.7 yd average. Our kick coverage team was bad...but our kickoff return play was pretty solid. I like Kenny Lewis returning kicks...he almost busted on to go the distance. And CP had a real nice PR for 17 yards.
