I have seen our team play three times this year. These games included,
Pittsburgh, Minnesota, and Akron. The best we looked out of these three games was the Pittsburgh game. I am miffed of what has happened to the team that beat Pittsbugh. Where is the pass rush? Where is the offense that was difficult to defend against? On paper we are suppoed to have a good team. However, from my observations, this is not a true statement. I could see us losing maybe three more games. We can win all of our games, but I don't see it happending. I think our coach needs to take some criticism for these problems. At times, it seems that team is not prepared to play. In addition, the offense is predictable and boring at times. What I am saying is that I don't believe we have a very good team.
I am a true Falcon fan. However, this team does not put fear in the hearts of their opponents. Lets see what happens as the season unflods.

You make good points here. I myself have wondered where did the BG team vs Pitt go. Its almost as if BG has no problem getting to play teams we shouldn't be competitive in but has an extremely hard time of being focused and ready to play teams we should or are expected to beat. That all comes from the coach and his mentality that he brings to the team on a daily basis. Clearly Coach Brandon himself must not take all games as seriously as he should otherwise we'd be seeing a more disciplined team. Its been this way for a several seasons now. We see BG seemingly play their best football to start the season usually vs some BCS opponent only to falter and get seemingly worse as the season progresses against Mac competition.

I'm starting to think those BCS teams aren't that much better than the MAC teams we play. Motivation, energy, and emotion can only get you so far, even in football.

We have a winner...pay the man. Right after the game I said that we would face much better offenses than what we saw in Pitt. Their quarterback was horrible, their receivers dropped passes and their line failed to open holes for their all-american back.

You know the MAC offenses are going to spread you out, throw the ball around and create match-up problems for your defense. I'd rather play a plodding BCS offense early in the season than a MAC offense late in the season any day.
