Wow ... you'd think they'd try to pluck an assistant from a "bigger" school ... didn't Akron get their guy from Pitt?

I'd figure that WMU would be looking at Michigan, Michigan State assistants ...

Right on the $$$ SF. I'm surprised we've held on to him this long. I'd hate to see him go.

Well he does not appear to be one of the frontrunners according to that article. So that is a good thing. Looking on the bright side at least we have assistant coaches who are worthy of headcoaching jobs elsewhere.

You would think WMU would go for someone from a higher ranked program, but we once hired a guy who had never even been a coordinator anywhere he coached, and he worked out OK--Urban! Sometimes, you just hit the right guy.

Love to keep Coach Beckman, but I'd never hold him back from the chance to improve his career and a better situation for his family.

exactly! Thats why I dotn have any grudge against Urban.

If he is asked, and takes the WMU job, you cant be mad, gettign a head coaching job offer over your asst. is a great opportunity. I hope he stays, but best of luck if he goes.
