Kent State vs Bowling Green predictions

It's prediction Thursday folks, and boy do we have a doozy on our hands today. Kent State comes into the Doyt sporting a 2-7 record, but they are coming off of a 51-24 thrashing of Miami in Oxford. BG is 3-5 after a 16-13 last-second defeat against Northern Illinois in Dekalb.
There are some interesting trendlines to follow in this game. Last year, BG went to Kent and won 31-20 after they heard all week about how Edelman and Jarvis would run all over them. Kinda like this week. The previous year, Kent crushed BG 38-3 at the Doyt, a week after beating Miami in Oxford. Kinda like this week.
Last year, I thought there was no way BG would win in Kent, because I thought they couldn't stop Kent's rushing attack. I was wrong. Even though my pick last week was so horribly wrong its not even funny, even in this time of suckitude, I'm not going to be dumb enough to make the same mistake twice in a row. The offense still struggles, but the defense plays well enough to get BG off the schnide at home.
Kent State 14
Bowling Green 21
Bgsufalcon24's probability of victory - 50%

Other than an alien space ship hovering over the stadium and systematically beaming everyone aboard, I don't know that any outcome would surprise me this week. We could win 120-0, we could lose 120-0. Could be anything in between. And none of it would surprise me. At all.

My predictions:
Beer will be cold.

I'm expecting a loss, but I still believe they'll pull one last game out of their rear ends before the season ends. I'd like to think there is some level of self respect that lets the team muscle past the lousy coaching and get a win.
But it won't shock me if they fold the tents and go home for the year.

We will win if we score more points. If we don't, we will lose. That's my prediction.

The team, being its wildly inconsistent self, has an "on" game and the defense holds Kent to 50 rushing yards. The offense is also "on" and we roll 38 - 3, avenging them with the inverted score from the last time we played KSU at the Doyt. (Yeah ... keep dreaming, I know ...)

It'll be 21-17 we'll be up going in to the 4th quarter.
Tyler Sheehan will run a draw, fumble and it'll get picked up by Kent State and returned for a touchdow. We'll loose 24-21. not to be doom and gloom or anything

I'm pulling the Falcons/Browns double this weekend and there are not many things that could take place in either game that would really surprise me.
I'll say BG 28 Kent 24 with the same bend, but don't break defense that got a win at Kent last year. Attendance - 9,000 on a beautiful day in BG.

10-33 KSU with MAYBE 5000 fans in attendance.

On one hand, it would be dissapointing to have a crowd that poor. But you have to admit, the players and coaches do kind of deserve it with their awful play at home so far.
Maybe seeing 19000 empty seats would tell the team that their act is unacceptable, and it's time to put up or shut up, and actually show some pride and passion.

*Team Gregg Brandon's [TGB]` D wears down from Kent's running game.
*Woeful Offensive game plan will keep TGB's defense on the field.
Kent State in a laugher (20+ points.)

I'll throw out a prediction, even though my seat will be one of the 19,000 empty seats. My prediction is that Kent tops BG 38-21, after we have the lead going into the 4th 21-17.

I predict the Deja Vu banner will make a triumphant return flying over the stadium.

Predictions are not easy in the MAC ---- there's too much parity. Nevertheless, in Bowling Greens situation, the talent is clearly superior, but their undisciplined style of play and their inability to adjust has been costly. If BG can avoid the plethora of penalties they've been having, and can hold on to the ball, they can at least play even up even if their game plan doesn't exist. Otherwise, it will be just another big loss. All of this is too much to hope for, so I'm taking:
Kent 45
BG 12
