Hello all,
Buffalo student here, most likely taking the 5 hour trip to Doyt-Perry. Would probably leave around 11 am to get into BG around 4 or 5 to at least tailgate for an hour. This is one of the most important MAC games this season (most important UB game in forever).... and it's not on TV? It baffles me, so I may be forced to make the trip.

I was wondering how the ticket situation was. I know you guys boast one of the better support systems in the MAC, so I expect the stadium to be mostly full, but should it be a problem to walk-up Friday afternoon, or should I make the decision to go soon and buy my ticket online?

I'm a big fan of traveling to other team's stadiums, so I'm excited at the possibility of traveling to BG. I hope to see and interact with some of you at the game.

You shouldn't have any trouble buying a walk-up ticket Friday. I don't know what the tailgate scene will be like with the funky start time, but there's plenty of space to do so and those that are out there are usually a fun group. It's a pretty laid-back tailgating atmosphere.

UB's last trip to BG was a wild one, I'm hoping for a little bit of an easier time (and no tornadoes!) on Friday.

Were there seriously tornadoes in the area in 06? I was at that game, and all I remember was lightning passing through twice. Regardless, that games had it all, two weather delays, 3 overtimes, 5 hours, 33 minutes of absolute craziness, BG 48, Buffalo 40.

I thought I remembered something about tornadoes, at least in northern Wood County. That or it really felt like tornado weather.

The Buffalo fans are pretty excited about this, and I can only imagine the pure excitement they are feeling is something we'll feel when we crack back in to the NCAA Hoops Tourney.

It is important to note how the Bulls will be treating this game and I hope we match their intensity as we cannot afford a slow start. If their team is 1/2 as focused on this game as the handful of fans on their message board. . . . It's new for them and they have an inspirational coach, but it is extremeley important that the Falcons match that intensity on Friday.

dude, you'll have no problem walking up getting a ticket.

First off, I want to Welcome all Buffalo fans to azz.com and secondly,
for those who like to come to the Falcon Marching Band's pre-game concert (right after the team walk-in) we won't be doing it. However, at the request of the football team, we will be having a small part of the band there to play for them as they walk into the Stadium. This is due to Dr. Hayward not wanting to take students out of class, yet still wanting a warmup period for us (cuz we'll need it!! high in the lower 30s Friday!!)

In any case, I hope that all fans who are making the trip to Doyt L. Perry Stadium make a safe one.

Another example of how the 6pm start time screws the fans of a great gameday experience.

While I can't fault them for showing excitement like this, it makes me think of the 2003 game against Miami...actually...It makes me think about both 2003 games against Miami...oh how I hated those results.
