Comments from after the Women's Basketball Game from Coach Miller.
--Thank you: One of the first things Curt Miller said in his post game press conference was a message of thanks to the fans:
"Hats off to the crowd. That home crowd could be doing a lot of things today. I think there was a big ballgame in another sport and a lot of people came out and supported us. I think we some of the truly best women's basketball fans in the counrty and I'm really happy they helped us get to the victory," Miller said.
Miller always seems to thank the crowd where it is apparent Brandon always seems to critisize the crowd. I understand it must be hard looking at all the empty seats but put a winning product and coaching staff on the field (i.e Women's Basketball) and the fans will show up!
IF YOU PRODUCE IT THEY WILL COME

To be fair, when fans have shown up in the past, Brandon has thanked them.

That's exactly the point. The fans didn't exactly show up for the women's game today, only 1200 attendance. Did Miller complain or rip the fans? No.

"Only" 1200? For a game against Lipscomb? Man, you should have been around for the beginning of the Miller tenure.
There's a time and a way for a head coach to address attendance issues. Brandon went about it in completely the wrong way at absolutely the wrong time. Comparing that to anything that happens with any other sport at BG is apples and oranges.

Three years ago, the season average was 1,100. A couple big games (ND at home and the OU game which I believe was the "Stop Breast Cancer" game) last year boosted the average to 1,600, but most crowds were around 1300, it seemed.

It's a lot different with basketball too. If both sides of the bottom areas are mostly filled, it's hard to notice if the whole top is empty because the student section is usually loud etc.

"Only" 1200? For a game against Lipscomb? There was only 1,066 for the mens game on Thursday night.
