One could say that whats there to be optimistic about in seeing our future players when we will still have the same doofus coaching them? I'm not so sure I could get too excited if we swapped recruiting classes with USC or Florida right now. Getting talented players is just one piece of the puzzle in putting together a good team and program. You have to have someone with a clue coaching the players to actually see any good results.

I like looking up our recruits as much as the next guy but this year I'm little disenfranchised to care too much.

Don't know if your "twisted" emoticon is intentional or not, but if there's a change of coaches, I hope you realize the possibility that many of these kids may decide to go elsewhere by Feb.
When Urban left, it really hurt recruiting that year, even though GB was to take over.

That first class came together in a flurry and, as a result, we saw a lot of kids who didn't pan out.

I wasn't following things as closely then as I do now. But we have a lot of verbal commitments already. Did we have near that many when Urban left? That is, if we have 15 commitments so far, then we would only need to find 10 more kids. But when Urban left, maybe we only had 7 or 8 commitments and were left trying to find 15+ players.
