If I'm reading the online TV grids properly, for the second year in a row, I will be unable to watch the BG-Toledo game.
Here's what I will be treated to instead:
ESPN: College basketball - Old Spice Classic
ESPN2: College basketball - NIT Season Tipoff
D**nit!
It's bad enough that I really don't give two hoots about college basketball, but they are pre-empting the one college football game I want to see this week.

Ya that game will be aired on ESPN Classic. If ESPN was smart they would put something in place of it on that channel too. No one wants to watch two bottom MAc teams play a seemingly meaningless game.

You've got a lot to learn about BG-UT. It's okay, though, it will come.

Rarely has this game ever been so meaningless.

Rarely have I ever been more disgusted with 2 posts.
Seriously...would people call OSU/Mich. meaningless if they both came in 0-11? or if they both came in 5-6 or 3-8...I don't think so...RIVALRY GAME BABY!!! Go Falcons!!!

Seriously, what changes if we win this game? We finish 6-6 instead of 5-7 and we hang onto our silly rivalry trophy for another year.
BIG FREAKIN DEAL.
We still have one of the most dissapointing years in BG history, don't go to the MAC Championship, don't go to a bowl, and worst of all, a victory actually has the potential to save Coach Brandon's bacon, which would be a negative
Oh, and if OSU-Michigan featured 2 teams under .500, it would be at best just another Big 10 game. The only people that would care would be OSU and Mich fans, the casual sports fan that usually watches the game would watch about 10 other games that week. The reason that game gets so much press all the time is because those two schools are almost always good. You can't tell me that OSU-Michigan was as big this year as it was in 2005-2007 when each time the Big 10 title was on the line for both teams.

Have to EDIT ~ thanks Vdub disagree with you. Rivlarly games are rivalry games. When both rivals are struggling, the winner of the rivalry game can look back at the season with a certain amount of pride.
A lot is on the line Friday, IMO. Always is with this game.

Let me try to understand this 87. So if we win this game on Friday, we'll go back on it and say, "well, we sucked against lowly EMU and Miami at home and threw the season away completely in the 4th quarter against Buffalo, but hey we beat Toledo so everything's good."
I don't understand that, so I hereby agree to disagree.

OK, we'll agree to disagree.
Let me clarify that I said "certain amount of pride," NOT "everything's good."
Nothing, absolutely nothing, will make this a "good" season. A win against Toledo is merely a point of pride.
