Many of you are upset with the current head coach. Realistically, I don't see him being let go or leaving anytime soon (just my opinion). But for S & G's, who would you replace him with? And Why?

No, seriously. If you were the AD, who would you pick? In a MAC program, you are limited. We don't have the money to dish out for a Lloyd Carr/Jim Tressel name. So who do you go after?

Bob Davey, Lou Holtz, Charlie Weiss, Tyrone Willingham, any CMU assistant Coach, Romeo Crennell, Bill Cowher, Turner Gill, Urban Meyer, John Mayer, Mayor McCheese, Charles Barkley, Erik Barkley (former St. Johns point guard), Leaf Erikson, Erik Marschall, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Marshall Plan, Planned Parenthood, Boyz in da Hood, Hoodwinked, Wink Martindale, Chip and Dale...
On the real, it wont happen. 6-6 (lets hope) isn't horrible. If we get to EMU standards, and GB goes 12-48 over 5 years, okay, lets move on. Until then, lets just support and hope for better luck in the future.

It is near blasphemy to talk about replacing a coach around here......How dare you!
Mark Duffner would be furious!

+1....BUT....
I love my Falcons, and I know he was an assistant at BG a few years back even, but please don't make any moves on Beckman yet. I'm enjoying the Oklahoma State defense as of late......and I'm hopeful he (Beckman) continues his relatively decent strategy through the Oklahoma State/O-who? game this weekend. Wait until AFTER the bowl season, of which I'm hoping OK State is a part, and THEN come and get him. Hey, if he can turn OK State's defense around....I'd like to see what he can do for BG's program in the top job.

Mike Stoops, Tulsa's offensive coordinator, any assistant at a Top 25 program who is looking to move up and has demonstrated a capacity to run an effective system on whatever side of the ball he coaches.

Marshall Tucker? Marshall Dillon?
Chris Tucker, Chris Knight (Peter Brady, not the basketball player), Tom Brady, Brady Quinn, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Dr. John (the jazz singer), Greg Ostertag, former Jazz player, John Stockton, My Stock Broker, Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Mr Peanut, Charles Schulz (writer of Peanuts) and we're back to the beginning...

Mahzahn is like a four letter word around here. Being able to hang 70 on us has made him public enemy number 1. Although it would be fun to get back to those offensive heydays again.

Tim Beckman I would take. Hiring Greg Studrawa would only prolong the problems of the Brandon era. Both were handed a play-station offense and couldn't coach their way way out of a Madden game. Studrawa is a great position coach but he was in-over-his head as OC and would be drowning as HC.
A few other names for you:
Gus Malzahn, he's the Tulsa guy at OC.
Brock Spack, DC Purdue
Luke Fickell, OSU
Paul Chryst, Wisky OC
Mike Haywood, Former OC at ND
