Tiller anyone

I know he just turned 65 but does anyone think Joe Tiller would come and coach BG. The BTN said last weekend that Tiller would be interested in other jobs if the right one came up. He is a Toledo native, still has a home in Toledo, said earlier this year was looking forward to attending many Mud Hens game but if another job came up to suit him he would consider. Considering Greg Christopher came from Purdue do you think there is any chance he would try and get him to think about it.

True 65 is not the young up and coming guy we are looking for but Tiller comes from the Big Ten, has almost a 70% winning percentage, averages 8 wins per year up until recently. What do you think

It would be a good hire.. But I do think he wants to enjoy some time off and watch the Hens.

PLease..enough with the new threads for evey name that crosses a person's mind. If each "dream" candidate gets his own thread, the board will be a mess

Heck, I say we "woo" Frank Solich up here (all it will take is a case of Natty). We all know he likes to drink. Where better than BG? Let's just take him on a bender, and he's ours.

Flip made a great point. No dream coaches.

which let's be real...If we're expecting a former BCS coach, um, yeah..go wake up.

Tiller's not interested. I posted it under one of the other many threads about the same topic ... here's the info (copied straight from another thread):

Of all the names listed on this one of many threads, I like Ron English the best at this point, and I have a little insider info about him. My older brother is a Michigan guy and knew several Michigan defensive players. They all said that they had respect for Lloyd Carr, but Ron English scared the crap out of them. If they made an off the field mistake, they'd rather be in Carr's office than English's office. Food for thought.

On another one of many threads, Tiller was mentioned. Again, insider info on this one. I met a guy on the trip out to Boise who is a family friend of the Tillers. He said that Joe wanted to retire last year but decided to stick it out for one more year, and he's looking forward to relaxing, golfing, and fishing. He's retiring and isn't coming back.
