New Radio Network Flagship!!

Cal Bowers just called to let me know that they've just secured 103.7 - WCKY out of Findlay as the new flagship station for the Falcon Radio Network. He says they'll have hoops on the radio this weekend!! I guess there's a very strong signal, it can be picked up ALL OVER NW Ohio and beyond.

Details to follow, but it sounds like a great step in the right direction for the radio network! It's been so frustrating to try and grab a post-game show on the drive home and lose the signal before the show is done! Sounds like that won't be the case anymore!

Yes it is a strong signal. Country station that I believe is actually liscened to Tiffin or North Baltimore. I can't remember. You will be able to pick it up at the Doyt without any problems.

Too bad the Falcons are going to lose to the Titans this weekend and more people will hear it. Future hoops posts will go where they belong...

Hey guys - Cal here.

We are still finalizing the details with WCKY for the rest of the season and for 2009-2010 football/basketball/radio show seasons.

So - it isn't officially FINAL yet - but CKY has been great and seem extremely excited to be a part of our radio network.

It has been frustrating to not carry football and a chunk of b-ball games since 107.7 went dark late summer. This was a priority for us @ FSP and for Greg Christopher in Athletics.

Roll Along!

So Grant lied to us? Where's my pitchfork?

Great news, Cal. Thanks for sharing the insight.

It was great to meet you at the UT tailgate, as well! Roll Along! :-D

I drove up to Adrian this afternoon and the signal was GREAT every inch of the way. I'm wondering how much further north and west it carries?

:D :-D :D :-D :D

I caught it from Perrysburg to Elmore on the drive home (I couldn't listen to that "music" but I checked it as I drove). ;-)

I've listened to it all the way to Ann Arbor before. Usually starts to breakup about Milan though.

I used to love that channel. Listened to it as far south as Mansfield and Marion (I think I still got it in Marion anyways).

Going East I can still pick it up until Amherst, then it starts to get a little sketchy. It booms into Erie County....NICE!
