You'd appear to be "on the money" with this so far, with one exception..I think that Woods is a LB out of Cincy, not Stow...and remember that Goble is from Canton, MICH., not Ohio.
I always try to follow the "verbals" and find this stuff interesting...but I must admit, I'm a bit surprised at the apparent "delays" on getting a staff together. I know that some folks have already alluded to the fact that Clawson needs to pick the "right" people, but it does seem to be taking a long time to get key people into place.

Nicely to Akron is not a done deal.......technically no one is a done deal until they sign in February, but that is another story. Although Nicely might have his decision made for him before his 1/16 visit to Akron if Devontae Payne commits to either Akron or Toledo before then.
DT Chris Jones.......I would call him a soft verbal at this point. He took an official to Toledo and has one scheduled to BG in January (I believe 1/16)......though he does consider himself still a BG verbal at the present time. He could go either way, IMO.
TE Alex Bayer is very solid for BG. He's quite disappointed with some of the recent de-commits, but is solid to BG and Coach Phillips. RB/LB Alex Thomas is also very solid for BG.
Those are the only ones I personally know of, so I thought I would throw the info out there for ya.

Nicely visited OU the Friday before he came to BG (IIRC). He more or less gave them a verbal and then switched to BG when he visited here...but with the understanding that he'd accept an offer form Boston College if they came through.
If he visted UT and didn't verbal immediately....you can probably figure on him going with Akron.
Then again, the kid seems kind of...fluid in his thinking. Wow...an 18 year old who's having trouble making a decision. Who would've thought that was possible?

You gotta love RF. He knows all the details of every recruiting conversation made by BG and Toledo recruits from the comfort of his home in Virginia!rocketfootball wrote:Nicely to Akron is not a done deal.......technically no one is a done deal until they sign in February, but that is another story. Obviously it is not every recruiting conversation when I clearly said these are the ones I am aware of. The reason I am aware of those is because I am working for scout.com and interviewing many of these student-athletes. I posted information here that I thought would be of interest to BG fans, and you didn't have to go scraping through scout.com to find it. If you want to dismiss me for whatever reason it is this time RWT, go right ahead. If all BG fans here don't want me to add comments on recruiting from time to time then tell me now and I won't post that stuff anymore.Redwingtom wrote:You gotta love RF. So, do you fly to their homes to interview them or do you do it over the phone from the comfort of your home in Virginia?rocketfootball wrote:Obviously it is not every recruiting conversation when I clearly said these are the ones I am aware of. And please tell me Scout.com is not paying for your "expertise"!

I, for one, appreciate the info, so long as it is accurate to your knowledge. I see no reason why anyone should be ridiculed for contributing to what this site is all about.....BG. If someone from TSUN has inside info, I appreciate them letting us know, again, as long as it is not meant to be misleading or false. It shouldn't matter who you are or where your from, if you have good information thats all that matters to me. Thanks again for the info RF.rocketfootball wrote:Obviously it is not every recruiting conversation when I clearly said these are the ones I am aware of.
