The first of the two bowl games where I will really be rooting for someone is today. Utah has gone up early on Bama and then on Monday I get to watch Columbus collectively get its heart broken......

Hmm, can't imagine why Urban made that "lateral move"
Oh and the SEC is definitely overrated. I'll still give them the nod for best conference, but these teams are not borderline NFL caliber as the media and their fans would have you believe the way they talk up the SEC. The Pac-10 and Big XII are not far behind if at all. That being said I think Florida rolls chOklahoma and gives "Big game Bob" his fifth straight BCS loss.

I am too. I want BG to be just like Utah, Boise State and TCU. That is the level our program needs to shoot for. Utah, BSU and TCU are right there with most of the top BCS programs.
The 85 scholarship limit is slowly evening the playing field.
I do feel bad for MobileBama, our friend Tom down in Mobile.

Until the BCS becomes it's own governing body. Imagine a world with no scholarship limits, course load requirement, nor academic performance.
The day may be coming. There's too much money at stake to permit party crashers.

Let's just focus on winning thr MAC for once and then we can dream bigger.

Now lets go Bulls.
It is pretty scary that the Big Ten and the MAC could easily combine to go 1-10 in bowl games this year. It wasn't much better last year either.
The midwest has really fallen behind.

Honestly, living in Texas and hearing these crybabies whine about not being in the title game, I hope OSU spanks the Horns. This coming from a Michigan fan.
Texas fans are like Ohio State except they think they're God's gift to football and worship Mack Brown, one of college football's more overrated coaches.

I need to make sure I'm reading this correctly. You're saying Ohio State fans don't think they're God's gift to football?

Sorry Rollo but our job as fans should be to dream for the big picture. I see too much of this incremental (Hopeful) way of thinking among the so-called BG Falcon fanbase. This attitude you present I'm quite sure didn't plague the fans of those teams (Boise, TCU, UTAH...) that are far beyond where BGSU's football program is NOW. In the big scheme of things, I can see BG winning the MAC, but until THE MAC gains the respect of the MWC, C-USA, winning the MAC means nothing in the big schema. Sorry, but I want better for my Falcons! BCS BUSTER is what the Falcons WILL BE.

I don't think being a fan is a job, and if it was, being realistic would be part of it.

Mack Brown is a decent coach but he has enormous talent to help him achieve that. He is also one of the biggest whiners in college football. Several of them come close, however, including Bob Stoops.
Just yesterday, Pete Carroll started proclaiming that "Oklahome and Florida are really good football programs.........but I don't think either one of them could beat the Trojans." Translation: USC should have been in the title game. Tell it to Oregan State, Pete.
The Utah coach was already proclaiming "well, there's only one team in Div. I football that went undefeated." Translation: Utah should be #1. Take a look at your schedule, coach.
If Texas manages to beat the Buckeyes, you'll be hearing the same crying from Mack Brown. "We lost on a last second play. Texas should be #1." Mack, last second losses count just like blowout losses. I hope the Buckeyes kick the Longhorns butts by thirty points just to shut this guy up.
The MAC's Buffalo Bulls create five turnovers in about twenty minutes and they still can't put away UCONN. That's pretty bad.
I wish the Falcons better luck next season.

Hell, if that's you're job you suck at it. Why are you settling for just being a "BCS Buster" then? Why not have us playing for a national championship every year? Why are you messing around with "incremental" bullcrap?
