*** QB verbals to BG!!!
QB MAtt Schilz from Californeeeeaaa. Was slated to got to Kansas State, but a coaching change opened th door. Nice to see coach Ruggiero's contacts paying off. Here's a great quote from Rivals...
"Matt is happy to have found what seems a perfect fit for him. Both the coaching staff and the offensive scheme they run are just what he was looking for. He committed over the phone to coach Dave Clawson and offensive coordinator Warren Ruggiero."

Nice, check out the BCS schools he bypassed to come to BG.

Impressive.
I'd like to thank Bill Snyder for not calling him the split second he took the K-State job.

"...It’s a good fit for Matt because they aren’t looking for a mobile guy who will beat you with his feet. They are looking for a quarterback who is able to drop back and sling the ball all over the place and that is what Matt can do.”

I think this is one of the few instances when decommitting is accectable. When the new coaching staff sits you down and tells you they need a dual-threat QB for their system, it's basically saying "we don't need you anymore".TG1996 wrote:Impressive.

Also, the "offensive coordinator Warren Ruggiero" part caught me eye? Is he our new OC? Did I miss this from before?
