Saw this article in the Sentinel today...just thought I'd pass it on.

Wow, that seems like a pretty stiff penalty. Not saying I disagree with it, but I just never expected him to get 4 years in prison.

Just a total shame it had to come to this...I do feel for the kid but I see the court's side as well....just a baaaaaaaaad decision.

I pray Orlando gets thru this....

Just sad...

Got to be tough on his family with his dad being a law enforcement officer, especially.

He should have thought of that BEFORE he acted stupid. I just don't feel sorry for these kids who had every opportunity here and thought they could do ANYTHING and get away with it. He deserves whatever the judge felt he should get. As sorry as I feel about how it made the football and the university look, I mostly feel very sorry for those foreign students and what those guys put them through. :(
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

The only kid that lived there was only there for part of the year but was pretty awesome. I feel bad for him, his brother and friend as well. I'm sure jlozer is glad he didn't stick around BG for much longer as he was living in the exact room previous to the student who was there.

I would have loved to still be living there and seen 3 football players come in with guns. I really wonder if they would have recognized me and what would have happened from there. I am still pissed they kicked down my door though! I had to pay $60 for a new one when I moved out as it met my fist a few times.

I really hope this was sarcasm on your part....I'm getting sick and tired of reading about these spoiled athletes doing absolutely STUPID not to mention CRIMINAL things, and people worried about whether they'd have any eligibility left. These kids blew their chances for an education at BG for what? Because they were looking for DRUGS? MONEY? Whatever. :x

A kid wants to smoke weed or get in a bar fight, I can live with it. I've known a lot of good people who have done both. But I don't know any good people who have robbed someone at gun point. Four years seems about right.

Well he didn't rob them. Actually none of them took anything. Just asked for weed and left when they found there was none there.

<Metz,
I can't believe you're saying things this stupid! "None of them TOOK anything? Just 'ASKED' for weed?" Thank GOD that they didn't BREAK in and wave GUNS at these guys...otherwise we'd think they did something serious!
