Are the coaches listed at BGSUFalcons.com accurate? I thought we had more than what is listed there. If it is not accurate, can anyone post them here?

I thought we had fewer than that.

Either way, that TBA guy is going to work his azz off.

I believe they are waiting on one additional coach before they are all announced. I was told by two different people in the department that they are waiting on a co-defensive coord, before they announce the entire staff. Many of them have been leaked out the past couple weeks, but I don't have time right now to look back and list them all.

....and your new co-defensive coordinators are......

and

Shannon Morrison

I believe that completes the new staff. :D

If true, I'm hoping to see a complete listing, along with bios on all these guys...Hopefully, some of them also have some Ohio recruiting experience to go along with what appears to be a solid background from the ones that have been listed previously.

The new Offensive Line Coach, John McDonell, from Purdue has Ohio recruiting experience.

Welcome, Coaches, to the Falcon Nest!

Morrison leaves Marshall for BG...and BG travels to Marshall in Sept.

Waiting to hear about the others joining the staff.

From what I've been able to piece together for the 9 full-time assistant coaching positions plus the director of football operations:

Offensive Coordinator/QB's: Warren Ruggiero (Kansas State)
Running backs: John Hunter (BG)
Wide Receivers: Mark Carney (Richmond)
Offensive Line: John McDonell (Purdue)
Tight ends: ?

Co-Defensive Coordinator/Secondary: Shannon Morrison (Marshall)
Co-Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers: Joe Trainer (Rhode Island)
Defensive Line: Doug Phillips (BG)
Defensive assistant: ?

Director of Football Operations: Clint Dowdle (Tennessee)

I can't say this hasn't been a bit frustrating considering Miami and EMU annouced their staffs weeks ago.

Yeah, I don't get the idea of 'waiting' for Signing Day to introduce the Staff?

I think you miss a golden opportunity to get the "BG Name" out there by introducing each staff member individually, as they are hired - over several months.

That's free advertising (in the Sporting world) as the Profiles are put out to the media outlets.
[The individual coach may like a personalized splash in the media, too.]

You'd get 8 or 9 headlines, in a slow college football period vs One, when every college in America is announcing their recruits.

To me, signing day is for the kids - and a time to spout what a great class of student academic all americans that have been signed.

Oh well, I'm sure there they have a good reason for doing everything at one time . . . maybe that "team unity" deal?

All for one, one for all = beating toledo and our discarded coaches !!
